The appearance of mosquitoes and other creatures comes along with the summer. There are many effective sprays that can help keep these pests at bay, but they have a chemical compound in their contents, which can cause numerous health problems including allergic reactions, irritation, and nervous system interference.
But the good thing is that you do not need to expose yourself to harmful and dangerous chemicals because there are natural methods that can repel insects.
NATURAL INSECT REPELLENT
Many studies have shown that essential lemon eucalyptus oil is very effective in repelling mosquitoes. In addition, the essential oil of citronella is considered very useful due to its strong aroma.
One study showed that citrus peel such as tangerines, limes, oranges, lemons and grapefruits contain substances that can repel mosquitoes and many other insects. These citrus fruits are very effective because of their strong odor and will help keep the pests at bay.
AROMATIC VASES TO REPEL MOSQUITOES AND OTHER INSECTS
One of the most effective ways to use citrus and essential oils to repel mosquitoes is to use mason jars. We will show you how to make a bottle of Masonic mosquito repellent:
– 1 lemon slices
– 1 slice of lime
– 2 mason jars
– 10 drops of lemon eucalyptus essential oil
– 10 drops of citronella essential oil
– 4 sprigs of rosemary (optional)
Add the same amount of lime and lemon slices in the jars and in each jar add 2 sprigs of rosemary. Then pour water into the jars and add the essential oils, be sure not to mix them together. If necessary, you can add more water.
Backyard, porches, and campfires are the best places for these jars. To activate these mosquito repellents, all you need to do is light a candle.
